Strengthening project management skills in the company is investing in better results. Train your employees to become certified project managers through the Project Certificate.

About the Project Certificate

Strengthen your company's project expertise with proven best practices

Projects are the driving force behind growth, development, innovation and profitability in modern businesses. Many organisations use projects as a way of working when planning, developing and delivering services and products. Therefore, "good practice" in project management is crucial to ensure desired effects and gains.

The project certificate provides their employees with training, introduction and reinforcement of best practices in project management and corporate governance – certified by DNV (Det Norske Veritas) and approved by PMI (Project Management Institute).

Five reasons to choose the Project Certificate

  3. The learning process is adapted to their needs
  4. Our skilled instructors assist with training, introduction and reinforcement
  5. Formalized knowledge through the Project Certificate from DNV and PMI
Course content and certification

About the course

The project certificate is provided by The Project Academy AS, an Approved Training Partner (ATP). The program has been developed in collaboration with industry experts and is based on internationally recognized standards such as PMI's®A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)® and ISO 21500. This ensures that the training is practical, measurable and directly applicable in the company's project environments.

The Project Certificate is an online training program in project management consisting of five online courses:

  1. Introduction to Project Management
  2. Project planning
  3. Project implementation
  4. Project organization
  5. Project models

The program provides employees with a comprehensive understanding of modern project management and can be carried out flexibly in addition to ordinary workday.

Participants also get access to templates, checklists and the AI tool Project Copilot, which makes it easier to use AI in all phases of project work – from planning and documentation to reporting and risk management.

Certification

Once participants have completed all modules and passed the certification test, they will receive an official certificate of certification. The project certificate documents the employee's project management competence and provides the company with a clear quality standard for project work.

The certification test consists of 50 questions, and at least 80% correct answers are required to pass. Upon passing the test, participants receive a project certificate that is approved by PMI® (Project Management Institute) and certified by DNV (Det Norske Veritas). This confirms that the competence is in line with international best practice.

The certification is issued in Norwegian or English, depending on which language the company has chosen for the training program. Here is an example of a project certificate – and here you can also get your logo:

Course format and sample learning path

Course format

The core of the training consists of five digital online courses in project management, see text about course content for more information. The online courses are built on microlearning principles, with short lessons that make it easier to learn in a busy workday. The content is mainly conveyed through educational learning films, assignments and reflection, rather than traditional lectures.

As a supplement to the online courses, you can choose:

  • A joint kick-off for the participants
  • Digital webinars
  • Physical collections

The content and scope of the gatherings are adapted in dialogue with you, and can be used for in-depth study of selected topics, discussion of your own projects or anchoring project methodology in the company.

Example of learning path

A learning process can look like the following – with a mix of online courses (e-learning) and gatherings, physical or digital:

Physical gatherings work well when everyone sits close to each other, and digital gatherings work well when the participants are spread out. We believe in a learning process that goes over time with opportunities for maturation, reflection and aha experiences along the way.

The learning course is based on the philosophy "flipped classroom", which means that the participants go through theory, methods and examples in the e-learning modules, and are well prepared when we talk about best practice and possible improvements in the sessions. The learning process is handled by an experienced instructor from the Project School.

A learning course is adapted to the participants' availability, but typically lasts 4-8 weeks. The participants spend approx. 12-16 hours on the e-learning, in addition there is a kick-off on teams of 1 hour, digital gatherings of 2 hours each and physical gatherings as a whole day.

How the Project Certificate can be adapted to your company

The project certificate can be tailored to your business in various ways, we can:

  • Complete the Project Certificate fully digitally or hybrid based on their desire
  • Adapt the content of the Project Certificate to your project model (template for how projects should be carried out) or help you define how your project model should be
  • Create your own e-learning module with, for example, your projects, project challenges, project model, roles and responsibilities, organization, contract forms, HSE or other
  • Conduct classroom gatherings or webinars with themes in project management you want to specialize in beyond the content of the five courses the Project Certificate entails
  • Set up the Project Certificate as part of their internal training program for project managers and assist in rollout, learning, evaluation, and measurement of benefits
  • Or is there something else you need? Together, we create a training program that meets your competence needs

Learning objectives

The project certificate from the Project School is a tool for training, introduction and reinforcement of projects as a working method. We shape learning goals together based on their needs, but typical learning goals can be:

  • We will master the subject of project management
  • We will act safe and proud in our project roles
  • We will work more equally: roles and responsibilities, project model, practice and language
  • We will work well together and create a good flow in our projects
  • Together, we will create a foundation for further developing "best practice" in project management
  • We will agree on our success criteria – and help each other to succeed every time
