The regional collective bargaining conference is an important meeting place for bargaining leaders and union representatives in the municipal sector. Here we facilitate dialogue, sharing of experience and practical work on topics that are central to the collective bargaining work – both before, during and after local negotiations.
The conference will start with an introduction to expectations and working methods in regional tariff committees (RTU). We look at how the company groups can work together across the board, which forms of meetings work best, and how we can use both short thematic blocks and physical gatherings for experience sharing.
Furthermore, we address key collective bargaining topics such as:
- NITO's salary policy in practice – including discussions on how we handle dissatisfaction, communicate during negotiations and contribute to a good atmosphere and enlightened members
- The system of agreements and what the provisions actually mean in practice
- The discussion meeting – role, preparation and implementation
- Local variants of wage policy – how do we use this in practice
- Salary statistics – what should be reported, why are they important, and how are the figures used in practice
- The toolbox for union representatives – what can be found on nito.no, and how do we report and use negotiation and salary data
Through plenary sessions, group discussions and practical exercises, the goal is for you to be left with increased security in your role as a union representative, better tools in the negotiation work – and a strengthened regional network.
